Gina Rubin is a Studio Ceramicist living along the southeastern coastline of Long Island Sound in Waterford, CT. Originally from Colorado, Gina draws inspiration from both mountain and sea, along with the beauty of simple everyday life and nature. Functional elegance inspires her work. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Gina pursued a career in business, as well as her Graduate degree in Education from the University of Colorado. Soon after leaving a secure job in the corporate world, Gina transferred her creative talents to clay and began throwing pottery in 2014. In 2015, she exhibited her ceramics in local juried art shows, festivals, and galleries. Gina began exhibiting her porcelain sculptural work in juried museum exhibitions in Connecticut in 2016. ArtBeat Magazine published Gina as their “Mercury Rising Artist” / Emerging Artist in 2017. Currently, Gina exhibits in museums and galleries in CT and has exhibited in galleries in NY, MA and Denver, Colorado. Gina is an Elected Artist at Mystic Museum of Art and an Associate Artist with Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts.
