JURORS
Brian Flinn
Brian Flinn is an Associate Professor of Art and Art Education at Central Connecticut State University. He teaches courses in Advanced Painting and Digital Art as well as courses in Art Education Theory and Practice, Issues in Art Education and Technology in Art Education. He received his BFA in Illustration (1990) and an MS in Art Education (1995) from the University of Bridgeport, and his MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts (1993) in New York. His studio work features a large component of digital collage and mixed media. His art has been featured in exhibitions across the United States and internationally including a solo exhibition at Christian Partium University in Orodea, Romania (2018) and the Associazione Culturale di Spiazzi in Venice, Italy (2025). He is a member of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, National Art Educators Association, and is represented by the Kehler Liddell Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut where his next exhibition, “Drawing Conclusions” will be shown in April – May 2025.

David Palmquist
David Palmquist is a painter living in Brookline, Massachusetts and working at Vernon Street Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts. David was born in 1972 in Escanaba, Michigan and spent his formative years in Minneapolis, Minnesota. David attended North Park College, in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1994. In 1996 he relocated to the Boston, Massachusetts area. In 2003, David began showing his work as part of Brookline Artists’ Open Studios and later as part of Somerville Open Studios. David is a member of the Copley Society of Art and has shown his work at various regional institutions.
