Bivenne

Drawn to many natural subjects, Bivenne creates bold watercolor paintings of motifs she loves. Through her use of bright, saturated color, strong value contrasts, line direction, and attention to detail, Bivenne’s paintings are full of life and compelling drama, so unusual in this medium.

An award-winning artist, including recipient of CAFA's 2016 Painting Award and American Watercolor Society's 2019 Silver Medal among many others, Bivenne is a long-time regional instructor in Watercolor, who teaches in Portland, CT and at Yale Peabody Museum's Natural Sciences Illustration Program. She is professionally affiliated with many arts organizations and is represented by Spectrum Art Gallery in Centerbrook, CT.

Bivenne also writes a painting blog http://bivennesartblog.wordpress.com through which she shares her painting techniques more extensively with others.
