Rosemary Cotnoir

Rosemary Cotnoir is a painter working primarily in acrylic and oil. Her work is known for its intricate patterning, and is evocative of aerial views of natural formations – forests, rivers, estuaries, and shorelines. She works intuitively on canvas by first layering colors as a base, forming the foundation on which images emerge and details are added, eventually becoming a finished work.

Cotnoir is a member of the National Association of Women Artists as well as several regional artist organizations. Her work has been exhibited widely and recognized with several important awards. She is a member of GalleryOne, an artist cooperative, and serves on the board of the New Haven Paint & Clay Club. She resides in Westbrook, CT.
